The Toronto Wind Quintet was formed in 1997 by members of the performance faculty at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music.  Recognizing that young wind players need to hear quality chamber music performed live, the Quintet presents concerts (as the Faculty Woodwind Quintet) designed to complement their activities as coaches in the chamber music and performance programs. The members of the ensemble are among Canada’s most distinguished chamber music performers. The members of the Toronto Wind Quintet present concerts and masterclasses as well as teaching applied lessons to students at the Faculty of Music.
