Celia Cain is an ethnomusicologist specializing in First Nations music, North American popular music, and Gender Studies. Her theoretical interests include issues of performance, identity, globalization, and ethnographic methods. She is an Associate at Trinity College . Professor Cain has presented papers recently at the International Association for the Study of Popular Music, the British Forum for Ethnomusicology and the Society for Ethnomusicology. Before joining the Faculty in 2003, she taught at Washington University in St. Louis . Professor Cain’s current research focuses on First Nations women’s popular music. |
