Lynn Blaser began her singing career with the Canadian Opera Children's chorus.  After a B.A. in Psychology (York University) she earned a Diploma in Operatic Performance (Toronto) and ARCT (Solo Performer-Voice) from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto).  Her principal voice studies were with Patricia Kern (Toronto), Daniel Ferro (New York) and Gina Cigna (Milan).  On grants from the Canadian and Italian governments, she did specialized work with Tito Gobbi  (Italian repertoire), Marguerite Meyerowitz and Re Koster (French style) and many other noted coaches in Europe and the US.  At home in many languages and styles of music, she is known as an exceptional visual and vocal actress.

In opera, she has appeared with the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto and on tour in the US and Canada, Opera Hamilton, Opera in Concert, Calgary Opera, Guelph Spring Festival, CBC-TV and The Bermuda Festival among others.  She has sung with many symphonies and choirs across Canada including The Toronto Symphony and Mendelssohn Choir, Orchestra London, Ottawa Choral Society and Symphony Nova Scotia, and in the U.S. at Cleveland's Berea Bach Festival.  In recital, she has sung in Chicago, Berlin, Paris, London, Milan as well as many cities in Canada and was presented on a concert tour of France for Jeunesses Musicales de France.  She is specially noted for her performances of Verdi’s Requiem and other oratorios.

She has been on the Voice Faculty at the University of Toronto since 1990, is Adjunct Professor at Emmanuel College and also maintains a private studio.  She is a Senior Voice Examiner for The Royal Conservatory of Music, and in demand as a music festival adjudicator and clinician for choirs and soloists.  Voice Coach to the Ontario Youth Choir for 8 years, she has now many students in post graduate university programs in several countries and performing on the professional stage.
