Timothy has been a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 1980.
Since joining the orchestra Timothy has founded several chamber groups
including the now-retired group BASStiality, aka the Toronto Symphony Bass
Quartet. He co-founded another group, the Bach Consort in 1992. The Bach
Consort gives two fundraising concerts a year and has raised over
$250,000.00 for various charities since its inception.

The Bach Consort annually performs the complete Christmas Oratorio by J.S.
Bach. Several noted conductors have joined them for these performances
including Bernard Labadie, Ivars Taurins, Nicholas McGegan, Yannick
Nézet-Séguin and Jane Glover.
Yannick Nézet-Séguin returns for the group’s first performance of Bach’s
mighty B Minor Mass in 2007.
In addition, Timothy teaches privately, at the University of Toronto and the
National Music Camp of Canada. He is also a charter member of the
Adopt-a-Player programme of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra - for 13 years he
has worked in Toronto classrooms bringing his joy of music making to the
next generation.
Timothy is proud of his two musical children: Julia (soprano) and Sam (rock
bass, guitar and drums).
