Kathleen McMorrow directs administration and staff in the Music Library, with particular responsibilities for building the recordings collections and special collections. During her tenure, the Library holdings have increased from about 100,000 to over 450,000, and were moved into a purpose-built wing of the Edward Johnson Building. She has contributed articles to Notes and to Fontes, and edited the Canadian Association of Music Libraries Newsletter for ten years. She has taught courses in music librarianship in the Faculty of Library and Information Science, and been an executive member of several professional organizations. She is an associate in the Retrospective Index to Music Periodicals project www.ripm.org (opens in new window), and is currently working on Musical Canada, 1906-1933, her fifth contribution to this series.
