Lockers are obtained on a first come first serve basis at a cost of $35.00 cash (non-refundable).
Practice Facilities
Practice facilities are available at both our locations; Faculty of Music North (Edward Johnson Bldg) and Faculty of Music South (90 Wellesley St). Access to the practice facilities at both our locations is administered through a fob system. You are required to pick up your fob from the Registrars’ Office in September.
There is no charge for students who use the classrooms and the practice rooms (both upper and lower basement) at both the facilities. Double bass, percussion, harp, organ and all Jazz majors will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of $20.00 for the key and use of specialized rooms. Students wanting to practice in the studios of their respective teachers will be required to get authorization and pay a non-refundable fee of $20.00 for the key. The purpose of having the swipe card system is for security reasons; do not leave the doors propped open as it has invited unauthorized people to be loitering in the practice areas.
Fobs and keys are not transferable for any reason, and should not be used by anyone except the fob/key holder.
Music stands are not provided for practice, lessons or chamber music rehearsals. No smoking, food or drink is allowed in any of the rooms. Rooms and contents must be maintained in good order, and contents must not be removed or re-arranged.
Key privileges are given at the discretion of the Dean or Associate Dean and can be revoked at any time.
