The PhD program in Music Education may be completed as a full-time program or a flexible-time program. Both programs begin in September. We have ONE admissions cycle per year.
Prerequisites
Candidates must hold a master’s degree in music education from this university with an average standing of B+ or better, or an equivalent degree and standing from another university. An in-person interview with the music education faculty will be scheduled in early February. This may be substituted by a videotaped interview at the discretion of the faculty. Candidates may also be required to provide a videotape of their teaching expertise.
