Guidelines for Recorded Jazz Audition Submissions

Submit one video and audio recording (CD, mini disc, or audio cassette) and complete the attached questionnaire:

  1. Use a new tape or CD (no CDR-W).
  2. Tapes should be cued to start. Normally this will be at the beginning of side A.
  3. Label the recording clearly with your name and instrument and indicate ‘Graduate Jazz Performance Audition’ on the label.
  4. Include 30 minutes of recorded music. Do not include solos by other players.
  5. No edits (overdubs or punch in/punch out) are permitted.
  6. Please note that if the audio portion of recorded auditions is of substandard quality the audition materials will not be considered complete.
