The Faculty of Music awards a large number of entrance scholarships each year. All applicants are considered automatically for the Faculty of Music Entrance Scholarships.  Criteria for these awards include academic achievements and/or musical abilities, based on your audition or a combination of both. 

A number of these awards are reserved exclusively for Ontario residents who are able to demonstrate financial need.  Applicants who are Ontario residents are, therefore, strongly encouraged to complete the online University of Toronto Advanced Planning for Students UTAPS Assessment in order to determine your eligibility for these awards. 


Some additional scholarships and bursaries are awarded centrally by the University of Toronto Admissions & Awards, which may also require an applicant to be able to demonstrate financial need.  These awards are open to Canadian citizens, landed immigrants and protected persons.  Anyone who falls into these categories is also encouraged to complete the UTAPS assessment form. A small number of these awards also require additional letters or documentation.  Please contact the Office of Admissions & Awards (opens in new window) directly for details and/or applications:
