Two-day conference on Zoom
Jan 20 and 21, 2023, from 12 to 5 pm Eastern

Join us for the ninth annual DM@X conference, featuring major speakers focusing on the future of content in digital media.

Registration fee: $39 (plus HST/fee)
*Rates for members of the Faculty of Music:
Student: $9 (plus HST/fee)
Faculty/Staff/Librarian: $19 (plus HST/fee)

Over the two-day conference, the following topics will be discussed:

  • Regulating Streaming Services with the CRTC under New Management
  • Social Media: New Challenges and Opportunities
  • Online Harm: Can New Legislation Address This?
  • Indigenous Programming: An Agenda for Action
  • Requiring Google and Meta to Support Canadian News Media
  • Revenue Projections for the Digital Media Universe

There will also be sessions devoted to competition policy, the role and impact of algorithms, the definition of Canadian content, and the role and budget of public broadcasting.
