Re: Audiences in Events/Recitals

Following upon recent changes in provincial guidelines and the updating of University policies, the Faculty of Music will be able to allow the attendance of audiences for both public events (including large ensemble concerts) and curricular recitals (including those for whom the recital is a principal role in the Opera) in our performance spaces starting on March 17, 2022.

Public Events:
Faculty of Music students, faculty, and staff will be able to attend select concerts in person. At this time, these events can have maximum of 100 audience members. The processes for attendance at public events will be similar to those in place in the Fall term. Please visit the Concert Registration page on the Performance Office SharePoint for this information. This page will be updated each Friday to reflect events of the following week. It is recommended to check in regularly for updated information.

Please contact the Concert Office at concertoffice.music@utoronto.ca with questions concerning events.

Recitals:
Students may invite a maximum of 5 external attendees. These guests must complete the University’s paper health-screening form to enter the building.

The remainder of the audience is restricted to members of the Faculty of Music community; no pre-registration via SharePoint is required for Recitals.

Please contact the Performance Office, performance.music@utoronto.ca, with any questions.

All audience members must remain masked and are strongly encouraged to physically distance while in attendance.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and flexibility over the past many months.
Best wishes for a successful remainder of the semester.
