Biographical Note
Thomas Dowling studied clarinet with: Stanley Hasty, Robert Marcellus, and Leon Russianoff. He has been a member of the West Point Military Band, The Music-In-Maine Woodwind Quintet, The National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and The O'Keefe Centre Orchestra. He was Professor of Clarinet at the University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia, from 1979 until 1985. Mr. Dowling teaches clarinet at all levels, from elementary, through university. Published works include: The Warm-Up Book, for all Wind Instruments and The Clarinet Workbook. The T.D. Mouthpiece is being used extensively by band directors in the Greater Toronto Area.
